Description
A superb & important Regency rosewood & brass inlaid library / reading table with ormolu mounts attributed to Gillows.The black leather lined top with canted corners rises to multiple positions.
With twin drawers to one side & dummies to the rear.
Retaining original gilt brass feet & mounts.
The broad brass inlay bears close resemblance to the Gladstone table illustrated in the Gillows books by Susan E Stuart.
