Description

A superb pair of Irish early 18th C walnut and marquetry side chairs.
This very fine pair of Irish Early George II side chairs with well shaped back legs with fine walnut facings.
The well shaped splat with an inlaid marquetry panel with eagle and figure motif is similar to other examples of Irish furniture produced in the second quarter of the 18th Century.
The fine shaped cabriole legs ending in pointed carved feet.
All seat rails with figured cross grained veneer.
The front seat rail with an inlaid marquetry panel also typical of similar items of Irish furniture
